Doctoral Program in Psychology

The Doctoral Program in Psychology at the University of Granada (UNESCO ISCED code 864), is part of the doctoral programs offered by the Doctoral School of Health Sciences at the University of Granada and aims to train doctoral candidates in the various fields of psychology and its relationship with the Health Sciences. This program is regulated by Royal Decree (Code: B13 56 1; RD 99/2011)

Students in the program will be able to obtain the theoretical, technical and methodological knowledge necessary for advanced research in a wide variety of psychological areas: Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, Social Psychology, etc.

This program requires in-person attendance. It allows students to complete a doctoral thesis leading to a PhD from the University of Granada and, if applicable, the distinction of International Doctorate. The doctoral program aims to equip students with the skills and competencies necessary to conduct independent research (planning, experimental design, data analysis, interpretation and communication of results, as well as the skills to obtain public and private funding).

The program's activities are conducted at the International Graduate School and the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC), University of Granada.

The doctoral degree is structured around the following lines of research: * Research and Measurement Methodology in Psychology and Health * Behavioral, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience * Clinical and Health Psychology * Social and Educational Psychology * Experimental and Applied Psychology
