Young Researcher Workshop on Differential Geometry in Minkowski space

Young Researcher Workshop on Differential Geometry in Minkowski space

06/04/2017

The aim of this workshop is to bring together active young researchers on differential geometry in Lorentz-Minkowski space, specially on surfaces with constant curvature. The meeting addresses specially for graduate students, recent PhDs and other junior researchers, to meet and present their work to each other.

The speakers are young researchers that will present their latest results and the lectures will be focused on familiarizing the participants with the background material leading up to specific problems.

The meeting will be held in the Instituto de Matemáticas (IEMath). Open problems section. Participants will be invited to suggest open problems and questions before the workshop begins, and these will be posted on the workshop website. These include specific problems on which there is hope of making some progress during the meeting, as well as more ambitious problems which may influence the future activity of the field. If you are interested in attending the meeting, please send a message before April 1. There are not registration fees.

If you want to present a short communication or poster, please send a message before April 1, including the title and abstract.

Invited speakers

Shintaro Akamine (Kyushu) Magdalena Caballero (Córdoba) Seher Kaya (Ankara) Rahul Kumar (Harish-Chandra, Allahabad)
