  • CE1: Understand Earth System processes related to biogeochemical flows and interactions between the atmosphere, bodies of water, soil, and ecosystems.
  • CE2: Analyse and model processes related to biogeochemical flows, including their particular spatio-temporal scales and responses.
  • CE3: Understand and manage basic knowledge for the integrated management of environmental systems in which the natural processes related to biogeochemical flows and human activities interact.
  • CE4: Analyse the uncertainty in natural processes related to biogeochemical flows and their influence on the integrated management of resources, using optimization techniques, risk analysis, and decision theory.
  • CE5: Design experiments, complete field campaigns, and use techniques to carry out experimental measurements.
