literature-3307681960720El Programa de Doctorado en Lenguas, Textos y Contextos forma parte de la Escuela Doctoral de Humanidades, Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas (EDHCSJ) , inserta en la Escuela Internacional de Posgrado de la Universidad de Granada. Este programa de doctorado abarca la investigación de diversas lenguas y literaturas clásicas y modernas, en sus tradiciones y contextos culturales, posee un carácter netamente interdisciplinar y potencia tanto la investigación teórica, como la aplicada, en tres itinerarios principales sobre Lingüística, Literatura y Traducción e Interpretación.

Estos comprenden diecisiete áreas de conocimiento: Lingüística General, Teoría de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada, Lengua Española, Literatura Española, Filología Inglesa, Filología Alemana, Filología Francesa, Filología Románica, Filología Italiana, Filología Portuguesa, Filología Catalana, Filología Árabe, Filología Hebrea, Filología Griega, Filología Latina, Filología Eslava y Traducción e Interpretación.

ecolexicon (1) El programa dispone de una infraestructura de investigación consolidada, que permite la formación de doctores al máximo nivel de calidad científica. Lenguas, Textos y Contextos aglutina numerosos grupos de investigación y proyectos activos, que proporcionan al alumnado una relevante red científica internacional principalmente en el ámbito europeo y americano.

Los doctorandos/as encuentra en este programa el clima idóneo para formarse en la investigación de excelencia y realizar una Tesis doctoral, por la que podrá obtener el título de Doctor por la Universidad de Granada y, en su caso, la Mención de Doctorado Internacional. Igualmente se fomentan los convenios de cotutela. Las trece líneas de investigación en las que se vertebra este programa de doctorado posibilitan una amplia oferta formativa.

Presentation

The Doctoral Programme, Lenguas, Textos y Contextos [Languages, Texts and Contexts] is part of the Doctoral School in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law (EDHCSJ within the International School of Postgraduate Studies of the University of Granada. The research in this doctoral programme focuses on classical and modern languages and literatures as well as their cultural traditions and contexts. The interdisciplinary nature of this programme is thus ideal for theoretical as well as applied research projects within the spheres of Linguistics, Literature, and Translation and Interpreting.

These three research itineraries encompass the following subject areas: General Linguistics, Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature, Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, English Philology, German Philology, French Philology, Romance Philology, Italian Philology, Portuguese Philology, Catalan Philology, Arabic Philology, Hebrew Philology, Greek Philology, Latin Philology, Slavic Philology, and Translation and Interpreting.

Lenguas, Textos y Contextos has a consolidated research infrastructure, which is an optimal context in which doctoral candidates can receive high-quality scientific training. It encompasses numerous research groups and funded research projects, which integrate postgraduate students in an international scientific network, mainly in Europe and America.

This doctoral programme this provides students with an excellent framework, in which they can conduct their research, complete their doctoral thesis, and obtain a PhD from the University of Granada, with an International Mention, when applicable. The international co-supervision of PhD theses is also strongly encouraged. The thirteen research lines in this doctoral program offer a wide range of academic options, which students can choose from.

Objetivos

La finalidad del Programa Lenguas, Textos y Contextos es formar doctores en filología, lingüística, literatura, traducción e interpretación, dotándolos de los conocimientos técnicos, teóricos y metodológicos necesarios para la investigación avanzada, que les permitan responder a las necesidades sociales reveladas en dichos ámbitos.

El Programa Lenguas, Textos y Contextos se imparte en dos centros de la Universidad de Granada: Facultad de Filosofía y Letras y Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación.

Participan en él profesores de diez departamentos: Estudios Semíticos, Filología Francesa, Filología Griega y Filología Eslava, Filología Latina, Filologías Inglesas y Alemana, Filologías Románica, Italiana, Gallego Portuguesa y Catalana, Lengua Española, Lingüística General y Teoría de la Literatura, Literatura Española y Traducción e Interpretación. También colabora con el programa profesorado de reconocido prestigio proveniente de centros de investigación y universidades nacionales e internacionales.

Objectives

The main objective of Lenguas, Textos y Contextos is to train PhD candidates to carry out research in Philology, Linguistics, Literature, and Translation and Interpreting by providing them with the necessary methodological, theoretical, and technical knowledge that will allow them to respond to the needs of society within their chosen sphere.

Courses and activities are given in the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Granada.

The professors in the programme belong to the following ten university departments: Semitic Studies, French Philology, Greek and Slavonic Philology, Latin Philology, English and German Philology, Catalan, Portuguese, Galician, Italian, and Romance Philology, Spanish Language, and Translation and Interpreting. Also participating in this programme are various professors from national and international research institutes and universities of great prestige.
