Documents for the reading and defense of the doctoral thesis

Doctoral candidates must plan the thesis deposit process according to the schedule of meetings of the Academic Commission and the schedule of meetings of the Doctoral School Committee of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law (published on its website), also considering the expected deadlines for thesis defense.

• The Academic Commission may address thesis deposit procedures (approval of the jury, authorization for deposit) on the second Wednesday of each month. For this purpose, by that date, the file must have passed the administrative review of the International Postgraduate School, and it must have been submitted to the Academic Commission with sufficient advance notice (the notice from the IPS to the Coordinator, following the complete filing in the Documenta Application, must occur by the first Friday of each month as the deadline).

• Remember that once the thesis has been approved by the Doctoral School Committee and the resolution has been officially communicated, and publicly announced by the Secretary of the jury, at least 15 days must elapse before it can be publicly defended. This period cannot be reduced or changed.
